Online Insurance Broker Wins Inaugural Innovation Award for InsuranceHero.ca
Greg Raymond Named IBAO Innovator of the Year
(Ottawa, Ontario) Greg Raymond, founder of InsuranceHero.ca was presented with the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario’s (IBAO) 2014 Innovator of the Year Award of Excellence during IBAO’s 94th Annual Convention held last Friday in Ottawa. In its first year, the Innovator Award is given to a brokerage, broker or group of brokers who elevate the industry and propel themselves and those around them ever higher, constantly pursuing success and challenging the status quo.
IBAO’s membership includes over 12,000 brokers province-wide and every year, the annual Awards of Excellence gala serves to highlight the achievements and initiatives of its most outstanding members, through their local work as businesspeople and as involved and caring citizens.
Greg was selected as this year’s Innovator of the Year recipient for his venture InsuranceHero.ca. A fifth-generation insurance broker, Greg launched the site in 2011 recognizing that not all clients want to be communicated within the same way. InsuranceHero.ca operates a multi-channel model which enables them to expand their trade area and attract a broader demographic.
“While we offer the same level of care and advice as a traditional insurance brokerage, what sets us apart is that we leverage the use of cutting-edge technologies to offer consumers a simplified and modernized insurance experience,” said Raymond.
